B2B.Africa

Africa Distributor Shortlist gives you up to five distributors in one African country that have each confirmed interest in your product, delivered within 15 business days. Five is the target, not a promise: how many confirm is up to them, and if fewer than two confirm, we refund what you paid. You receive companies ready for a next step with you, not a list of names to work through.

What do you receive?

For one product line in one country, we deliver the organizations that confirm interest — up to five distributors, importers, wholesalers or contractors that buy your kind of product — and for each of them:

  • its name, what it sells and where it operates, with a source and a date for each fact;
  • a check, made by a person from public sources, that it is a real trading organization of the kind you asked for;
  • its answers to four questions: does it carry your product category today, who supplies it now and roughly in what volume, which role decides on a new supplier, and what it needs to evaluate your product;
  • the next step it agreed to: a video call with you, or samples sent to it;
  • its contact details, which it agreed we may share with you — these open when the second half is paid.

You also receive the status of every organization we approached: who replied, who declined, who did not answer.

What counts as confirmed interest?

A distributor counts toward your five only when it has done all three: answered the four questions above, agreed to a video call with you or to receive samples, and agreed that we pass its contact to you. A reply that only asks for a catalogue does not count.

How does it work?

  1. You tell us your product line, the country and the kind of partner you want. We write the brief back to you with a link; on that link you confirm that we may write to organizations on your behalf. Until you confirm it, we write to no one.
  2. We build a long list of organizations that fit the brief from public sources. If you already have a Market Scan for that country, we start from it.
  3. We write to up to 15 of them on your behalf. Each message names your company, says that we write for you and that you pay us for the introduction. We use only the channels each organization publishes. We write to each organization at most twice — in South Africa only once, unless it replies to us — and we never contact again anyone who asks us to stop, for you or for any other client.
  4. We record every reply. For each organization that confirms interest, we check from public sources that it is a real trading organization of the kind you asked for, and we write down the source and the date for every fact.
  5. You receive the shortlist within 15 business days (Mon–Fri, South African time) of your first payment. Every shortlist is reviewed by a person before it reaches you.

How much does it cost?

The Shortlist costs $990 for one country. You pay half when you order and the other half when we deliver, by bank transfer against our invoice. We start writing to organizations when the first payment arrives, and the contact details and the full replies open to you when the second half is paid. Prices of our other products are on the pricing page.

Does a Market Scan count toward the price?

Yes. If you bought a Market Scan for the same country, its $249 is deducted from your first payment. A Market Scan is a good first step if you want to see the market before you commit: start a Market Scan. Market Scan pricing is on our pricing page.

What if fewer distributors confirm interest?

If fewer than two organizations confirm interest within 15 business days, we refund what you paid for the Shortlist and still hand over whoever did confirm; a Market Scan you bought earlier has been delivered and is not refunded. If two, three or four confirm, we deliver those together with the status of every other organization we approached, and the second half is due in full: the price is the same whether two or five confirm. This rule is written into your order. How refunds are paid out is in our Refund Policy. Apart from the rule above, we do not promise that any organization will reply to us.

What does the Shortlist not include?

We do not promise sales, contracts or orders. The Shortlist is not a company check: we do not review a distributor's registration documents and we do not screen it against sanctions lists. If you want that for a distributor you pick, order a Quick Company Check on the pricing page: it covers that company's public details, domain control and sanctions screening, and its registration when the company provides documents. Confirmed interest means a distributor wants to evaluate your product; the deal is between you and the distributor. We do not assess a distributor's finances or creditworthiness, and we do not sell contact lists: we share a contact only when the organization has agreed to it.

Which countries can you cover?

You start with one country. Our data is deepest in South Africa. For other African countries, tell us which one you need, and we will tell you before you pay whether we can deliver a Shortlist there.

How do I order?

Email support@b2b.africa with your product line, the country and the kind of partner you want, and a link to an English product sheet we can share with distributors. We reply with a written brief and an invoice for the first half. If you would like to see the market first, start with a Market Scan.
